I’m going to Washington DC the week after next… Can anyone recommend any gluten free dining options that I should check out when I’m there?
Thanks in advance!
I was a manager at McDonald’s for a while and we had a lot of Celiacs who would come to eat there, so here are just a few general things.
These items are NOT gluten free:
- Fries (coated in wheat flour to keep separated while cooking. Also not vegetarian/vegan.)
- Grilled chicken
- Mac Sauce
- …
Signal boost!
I’ve heard a lot of different sides concerning this, but I thought that I’d put this out there.
What have your experiences been like?
Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint what causes my stomach issues on any given day, but this might have something to do with it?

Oh no!
I’ve found that it’s helpful to channel those negative cravings into positive eating by finding gluten free alternatives!
(I recommend Udi’s whole grain bread!)
I am not amused by health issues.
Also, MemeGenerator has been having problems for weeks, which is why I haven’t posted any new memes! I think I’m going to have to find a new site to create them.
The recipe!
Ingredients
-1 cup canned pumpkin
-1/2 cup applesauce
-1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
-3 egg whites
-1 3/4 cups old fashioned oats, pulverized until fine
-1/4 cup protein powder
-1/2 cup baking stevia/sugar
-1 tsp. baking soda
-2 tsp. baking powder
-1/4 tsp. salt
-1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
-1/2 tsp. nutmeg (or pumpkin pie/apple pie spice/anything else you think would be good)

This is what your oatmeal should look like after blending.

Everything in the bowl!
Instructions
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2) Grease a 12-cup muffin pan
3) Thoroughly mix all the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. (This is my favorite kind of instruction. Literally just mix up all the ingredients in a bowl.)

4) Divide mixture evenly into muffin cups

5) Bake 15-20 minutes, or until tops are golden brown.

Enjoy!

Calling all graphic designers and coders!
I’m looking into getting new content for our community!
This would include a few different items.
1. Scarves for blogs.
2. Bumper sticker, t-shirt, or merch designs that we could get printed for fans and followers to order.
3. Also, I am considering creating a book based off this blog, that would be available through e-book format. We could use the funding to give the blog a custom domain name, and perhaps a cooler theme.
